Referral guidelines

Please note that our advocates are not advice workers. Our advocates do not offer advice. Our advocates are not professional experts in specialised areas. Although advocates may sometimes have relevant professional expertise their role as an advocate is to act as a private citizen or ‘facilitator’ to access resources and not to deliver a paid professional service.

The basic premise is to independently advocate on behalf of their partner on a one-to-one or group basis as if their partner’s interests were his or her own.

The click to refer system will transfer you to a secure online referral form. The online form may be completed by the person who needs an advocate or it can be completed by someone who knows the person best, for example a friend, a relative or a key worker.
